Ossipee Lake Alliance and Green Mountain Conservation Group are working with volunteers from the boating community to increase awareness of the regulations that balance recreation and preservation at state-owned Ossipee Lake Natural Area.
As of May 11, the lake level is only 9″ below summer level, and going up.
The spotted sandpiper is usually our only native shorebird to enjoy in these parts. Now is the time to spot them.
Management of the lake level is on track, with June 1 (as always) the target date for 407.25′.
