Boaters whose vessels are registered outside New Hampshire will now have to pay $20 annually to use state waters. Revenue generated from the sale of the $20 decals will go to the state’s Lake Restoration and Preservation Fund. The decal law is the first major piece of legislation in a decade designed to increase state funding for milfoil control.

Court Clarifies Dismissal of Complaints Against Former Owners of Westward Shores
In a recent ruling, a Superior Court judge clarified that her February decision to deny a complaint by Westward Shores campers against the campground’s previous owners, Anthony Aversa and Joan Brassill, pertains only to one of the four counts alleged in the case. The other three counts of the class action lawsuit remain open and unresolved.
