Freedom—April 7, 2021—Based on a call from our ice observer this afternoon, I am declaring ICE OUT of Ossipee Lake as 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.

The last card table-size sheet of ice floated just off the west shore of Camp Huckins all morning and then was gone.

Most of the north half of North Broad Bay was ice-covered last Sunday. I saw three power boats cruising the open water around this ice.

Water level got up to almost 408′ last week but is now down to 406′. Air temperature is near 60, so it is time to think about dock installation.
