Freedom — November 4, 2010 — District 3 voters returned Jeb Bradley to the State Senate in a wave of Republican sentiment that rolled across Carroll County on Tuesday. Bradley handily defeated his Democrat opponent Beverly Woods who, like Bradley, is a Wolfeboro resident.
In the District 3 N.H. House of Representatives race, Republicans took all three seats. Mark McConkey earned another term in Concord, and voters favored Ossipee residents Harry Merrow and Dave Babson over incumbent Susan Wylie. Merrow and Babson have both previously served in the House.
District 3 encompasses the towns of Freedom, Ossipee, Sandwich, and Tamworth.

Thats good for District 3 to have Mark, Harry and Dave looking out for us in the house.

…because I think it was Merrow who stated, something like, the lake front property owners wouldn’t mind paying a “little more” to fund the milfoil clean-up…is that the kind of action you are referring to?
When you become a NH resident atony, then you reserve the right to criticize our politicians. Until then worry about your own State and consider the consequences of re-electing Barney Frank for the umpteenth time!

I did not ever think we would ever agree on anything but I assure you I did not celebrate Barney’s re-election (he does not represent my district so I could not vote against him).
I too am extremely disappointed in Mass. From Deval to the vote against reducing the sales tax…a complete debacle by Mass residents. However, that does not mean I want to pay more money in addition to the outrageous property taxes I am already paying in Ossipee to clean up milfoil. I found Merrow’s attitude, regarding the lake front owners willingness to pay more for milfoil clean-up, quite presumptuous.

I remember that one game where YOU attended and sat by YOURSELF all alone in the corner, ranting and raving about having to deal with other people at the game who blocked YOUR view of the field, were loud, had the nerve to be in line at the concession stand when YOU got there to buy YOUR hotdog. And the prices! I mean why the heck did YOU have to pay the same prices that everyone else had to pay. For the love of Pete some of those people *gasp* lived much further away from the stadium than YOU and really had no business being there in the first place!

Your analogy lacks credibility but was entertaining none the less. But I’ll keep buying those high priced hotdogs (that you only pay a third as much for) so you can keep your town infrastructure and services in place.
