Laconia — September 30, 2009 — The Associated Press is reporting today that there has been a second postponement in the trial of Erica Blizzard, who was indicted last December in connection with the June 2008 boat accident on Lake Winnipesaukee that killed Stephanie Beaudoin of Meredith.
The trial, first scheduled for May and then postponed to October, will now take place in January 2010 because of a delay in the availability of an expert’s toxicology report, according to the news service.
Blizzard is charged with negligent homicide and aggravated driving. She and a passenger, Nicole Shinopules, were injured and Beaudoin was killed after Blizzard’s high-performance boat slammed into Diamond Island at about 2:30 a.m.
Shinopules told investigators from the New Hampshire Marine Patrol that the three had been drinking in Wolfboro prior to the accident.
