Freedom – August 24, 2009 – The Carroll County Independent is looking for a freelance writer to cover the Town of Freedom. The job includes covering Monday evening selectmen’s meetings twice monthly at 7 p.m. and turning in a completed story the next day.
Other occasional assignments include covering the annual Town Meeting, Old Home Week and similar special events and festivals.
Some writing or journalism experience is required, and photography skills are a plus. The ideal applicant will either live in or near Freedom. The pay rate is per story.
