So lucky to have shaved that 200K for the milfoil. Probably took it from the foreign aid fund, so what the heck is 200K compared to twenty billion a month flying out of the country. I hear the Milfoil problem has been eradicated in Iraq! Kidding, they need more money to finish the job.

now here is a community who seems to be taking milfoil seriously. of course they waited long enough for the milfoil to take a strong foothold but at least they are getting started...i guess better late than never. and where is the state...the DES in all of this, well they helped "establish the budget" required to address the milfoil. thank goodness for the DES!!!! soooo as far as funding to help battle the problem what is the state doing??? well at least the state is there to give seminars and "educate" communities affected by this invasive weed. really, when it comes right down to it the only way the DES can justify it's bureaucracy and keep more state employees employed is by creating "regulations" that the citizens don't get to vote on but do restrict what tax paying landowners can do with their property...thank goodness for BIG GOVERNMENT...the institution that just keeps giving...to itself. is there a lesson that ossipee can take from all of this...maybe, if we can just wait long enough and the milfoil begins to overtake the lake we can meet with the DES and they can tell us how much money we are going to need to raise to "fix" the problem…so in addition to the crazy, insane property taxes (based upon the real-estate bubble property values) who do I send the check to?????
